Make sure you are truly saved

Since the beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, men have distorted the Grace of God to make it mean freedom to sin. They say Christ died for our sins: past, present and future, and that means God cannot judge us for the sins He already judged in Christ. So if we sin, it is already covered. Once you are saved, you are always saved no matter how sinfully  you live.

Some try to assert that there is no free will. They do that so they can pretend they have no responsibility toward God. God does it all. We are "scott free".

Others like this definition of Repentance: A change of mind. They like that because they don't have to repent. Change of mind without change of heart without change of direction is no repentance at all.

Repentance is revealed in the Old Testament. Repentance meant to turn  from sin and turn to God.

The Commands of God prove we have free will, and forces us to choose to obey God, or to disobey Him.

God gave Adam a command: Don't eat the fruit of the tree of good and evil, or you will die the death. Adam ate in total disobedience. The choice he made was fatal, just like God warned him. Just like God warns us.

Repent and repentance is stated about 47 times in the New Testament.

Jesus said, Unless you repent, you will also perish. He said, Repent and believe the Gospel.

Repent means to see  your own sin and to turn away from it to Christ to forgive, save, and deliver  you from the power of it. You yoke up with Jesus forever. You yield to His Lordship. Because only in Him can we overcome the sin that so easily entraps us. Jesus can free us from sexual immorality, from drugs, from hatred, from unforgiveness, from vaunting ourselves, from lusting after riches and everything to do with the Lust of this world.

Show me one scripture that says it is OK to keep sinning after coming to Christ, and I will show  you the entire Bible that says you are dead wrong.

Gal 5: 19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Walk with Jesus on the Narrow Path. These are the true children of God who walk in the Spirit. This is eternal life, to know You, the Only true God and Jesus Christ whom You sent.
